My Best Buddy - The Nutty Buddy

If you ever find yourself hungry and at a loss for a healthy snack, a handful of nuts and seeds can definitely be your best buddy.

Introducing the best buddy

Almond
One of the healthiest aspects of almonds appears to be their skins as they are rich in antioxidants. They are also notably beneficial for your heart health.

Pistachio
Pistachios are high in lutein, beta-carotene, and Vitamin E compared to other nuts. Eating one or two servings of pistachios a day associates with an increase of antioxidants in blood levels.

Pumpkin Seed
The small seeds packed with large nutrients - that's how we used to describe pumpkin seed. Pumpkin seeds are rich in magnesium. Healthy magnesium levels are important for your blood pressure, blood sugar levels, as well as heart and bone health.

Cashew Nut
The consumption of cashew nut on a regular basis and limited manner may help in avoiding blood diseases. Cashew nuts are rich in copper, which plays an important role in the elimination of free radicals from the body.

However, most nuts should be eaten in moderation, but not because they're high in fat or calories. It's the high protein content that you need to watch out for. Excess dietary protein can lead to elevated blood sugar, weight gain, kidney stress and leaching of bone minerals.

Thus, do not overdose it even though they are our best buddies!
